When you live for the deep stuff, the M is your ride. Born in the mountains, these powder-taming snowmobiles are engineered to climb faster, carve better, and fly higher.
The ProClimb chassis is made up of an inner- and outer-formed shell with boxed support structure to make up the two-piece tunnel, giving additional strength and weight savings. Put it all together and you get one amazing chassis.
The new, stronger handlebar rotates flat, not down, creating better leverage. The 6000 Sno Pro and 8000 Sno Pros and limiteds get a telescoping handlebar. Adjust it higherfor deeper powder. Or take it down for less extreme riding.
The 9000 C-TEC4™ turbocharged 1056cc 4-stroke engine produces 177 HP – at any elevation and temperature-making it the most powerful production engine ever in a snowmobile.
The 8000, 794cc, liquid-cooled 2-stroke engine produces 160+ HP. It features a lightweight crankshaft, batteryless EFI, APV electronic exhaust valves, Exhaust Pipe Temperature Sensor™ and weight-saving engine-reverse technology.
The 1049cc 3-cyclinder offers a new caliber of excellence in 135-class hp. This CTEC4 (Clean Technology 4-stroke) brings you advanced intake, exhaust and oil and cooling systems. The state-of-the-art fuel management system reduces emissions and increases efficiency. A large front-mounted radiator with heat exchanger provides superb engine cooling especially while riding at lower speeds.
This is the all-new Arctic Cat designed C-TEC2™ engine. With 125-class HP, now you can have the most powerful and efficient 600 we’ve ever offered. Dual stage injection reduces the distance fuel has to travel. Fuel is injected directly into the boost port side of the cylinder. The result is increased performance, better fuel economy and cleaner emissions.
How do you build a lighter, stronger A-arm? Start with a triangle. Then angle the shock load back toward the rider’s mass. This provides ample shock reaction. Maximum valve and spring control allow for better cornering and bump absorption at high speeds.
The front shocks are strategically aligned with the front spars to transfer the impact force to the upper spar assembly – the strongest point of the chassis. This almost eliminates body flex and provides a smooth, comfortable ride. The lighter one-piece forged aluminum spindle also improves turning radius and reduces darting at high speed. The M Standard comes with Arctic Cat (IFP) gas shocks. The M Sno Pro and Limiteds come standard with FOX FLOAT® 3 shocks and the M HCR gets upgraded FOX FLOAT® 3 EVOL shocks.
The ProClimb M comes with two different suspension setups. A tri-hub rear axle system with Arctic Cat shocks on Standard models and a springless rear suspension featuring a FOX FLOAT® 3 air shock on the rear arm and Arctic Cat (IFP) front arm shock on Sno Pro and Limited models. The M rear suspension saves weight by incorporating lightweight aluminum axles and lightweight shock bushings. Rail braces on SnoPro and Limited models boost strength for jumping. Rail cap wheels were added for increased durability in all conditions.
We’ve added deeper fins to our secondary clutch for improved cooling. We’re also using a high temp bearing material for less friction and extended durability. Cooler clutches equals better performance and belt life.
