Calibrated Suspension

The CATALYST platform features a centralized design tuned for trail, crossover, and mountain riding. A rearward suspension layout, revised A-arms, and ratio steering improve balance, cornering, and steering precision, while a lower center of gravity enhances stability and responsiveness. Mountain-specific geometry optimizes flotation and climbing, and the front suspension delivers confident performance both on and off the trail.

The CATALYST platform features Arctic Cat's exclusive laydown engine design for both the 858 and 600 engines. The compact, balanced engine placement allows it to sit lower in the chassis, reducing the sled's center of gravity and improving overall stability and handling.

Lower Center of Gravity

Engineers centralized the platform's heaviest components to reduce rider effort and improve responsiveness. Weight is concentrated around the center of the sled through the laydown engine, narrow ADAPT CVT system, and optimized fuel tank design. The uniquely shaped 10.4-gallon fuel tank supports aggressive ergonomics while maintaining consistent fuel pickup.

ATACH™ Accessory System

The first factory-integrated accessory mounting system with keyed locks, allowing riders to securely attach bags and accessories without exposed rivets or bolts. The system is seamlessly built into the sled for clean styling, ease of use, and security, with additional compatible accessories planned.

Reengineered Chassis

Built with an ultra-high-strength, one-piece steel chassis and aluminum tunnel for exceptional durability while maintaining a compact, lightweight design. Extensive finite element analysis (FEA) and durability testing helped optimize the chassis for mass centralization. Lightweight one-piece tunnels and composite components improve rider ergonomics, reduce weight, and simplify servicing.

Ease of Service

A new belt-drive system uses fewer parts to improve reliability and simplify maintenance. The adjustable center distance accommodates multiple gearing options and makes belt replacement easier. Tool-free side panels provide quick access to components like the drive belt, oil reservoir, and coolant, while the battery is accessible with a simple quarter-turn of the seat.

Redefined Ergonomics

A narrower overall chassis and reshaped fuel tank improve maneuverability, comfort, and rider movement. Revised body panels, tapered tunnel, improved recoil rope routing, redesigned running boards, and segment-specific composite toe stops reduce vibration and rider fatigue. Combined with the centralized mass design, these improvements provide greater confidence and control throughout the ride.

10% Weight Reduction

Through extensive redesign—including fewer components, lighter seats, a new intake configuration, ADAPT CVT system, fastener reduction, and a belt-drive system that weighs less than half of the previous chain-drive system—the CATALYST platform achieves approximately a 10% weight reduction across trail, crossover, and mountain models.

The platform supports Arctic Cat's purpose-built 858 engine as well as the proven C-TEC2™ 600 two-stroke. The 858 integrates with the low center of gravity, centerline steering, and weight-saving architecture to maximize agility and performance. The compactly packaged 600 engine uses a proprietary exhaust and forward-mounted airbox positioned low in the chassis to deliver excellent stability and responsive performance.
