ARS (Arctic Race Suspension) combines tall ski spindles and widely spaced A-arms for the greatest torsional rigidity and strength. The lower A-arms mount to the chassis at an angle from the chassis centerline, with optimal caster/camber angles to improve comfort and cornering traction while reducing bump/steer. The one-piece spindle construction with balljoints eliminates the added weight and stiction of spindle-in-housing designs.
The SLIDE-ACTION suspension incorporates Arctic Cat’s Torque-Sensing Link, allowing a lower and more consistent track tension; three-position rear coupling block adjustability; adjustable spring preload; and a fastened Tri-Hub rear axle assembly that’s lighter and more durable than two separate wheels. The SLIDE-ACTION design has the unique front arm that features a U-shaped slot that fits over a fixed shaft to allow a half-inch of sliding movement. The result is the full benefit of rear coupling – controlled (or eliminated) ski lift during acceleration – yet with complete use of the front arm travel at all times.
This 200-class HP Turbo Triple 4-stroke engine packs seamless power delivery in order to give you better handling, more ride control and immediate throttle response. Response like this can only come from an innovative compact exhaust manifold that transfers energy with unprecendented efficiency and immediacy. The power-to-weight ratio is untouchable. No other mass-produced snowmobile engine can match this beast’s output.
Introducing the most efficient and responsive 8000 engine from Arctic Cat. Fresh from our plant in St. Cloud, Minnesota, this 2-stroke engine features noticeably faster throttle response and acceleration compared with our previous 800, plus up to 30% reduction in oil consumption below 7000 rpm, 36% increase in low-end torque and 18% increase in midrange torque. Delivering a rare combination of increased power, reduced emissions, and ultra-low oil consumption, the overall crispness sets new standards for performance and rideability in the 160-hp class.
Part of our clean technology family, the 7000 is a 1049cc 4-stroke, renowned for easily accessible midrange power. This quick-revving triple maintains optimal power thanks to EFI and a state-of-the-art engine management system designed to reduce engine braking.
This 599cc 2-stroke DSI is the unmodified version of the engine that’s been launching Team Arctic down the racetrack since 2012. This quick-revving, 125-class horsepower C-TEC2™ power mill is the product of a world-class engine assembly plant — ours. Whether you’re riding a ZR an M or a Crossover, the 6000 is one of the most satisfying engines found in a snowmobile.
The 700cc 4-stroke EFI engine combines sufficient power with clean technology and incredible fuel efficiency, earning itself a place in the Arctic Cat engine lineup. It’s compact. It’s lightweight. And thanks to electronic fuel injection, throttle response is immediate. Work or play, this 4-stroke is raising eyebrows across the snowbelt.
In addition to improving performance, it’s got to be lightweight and strong. Feast your eyes on the brand-new TEAM® Rapid Response II driven clutch. What makes these clutches so superior? It comes down to eliminating slippage so your belt and clutch temperatures stay cooler. That’s why we redesigned the Torque Control Link™ (TCL) to keep your belt and clutches more aligned. The result is reduced temperature so more power can be transferred to your track. And for you racers out there, tuning your clutches to meet your needs can be done quickly and easily.
